Beverley has really helped me in terms of English when I have been stuck in many situations. For example:

  • Understanding texts
  • Sentence structure
  • Preparation for exams – hints & tips
  • Punctuation

She has guided me through my school work through the use of detailed explanations & tips when needed. She knows lots of different literature thoroughly & has shared her knowledge with me, which has been really useful when I’ve had coursework & projects to do & as a result I’ve achieved A grades.

I have done lots of exam practice with Beverley for my SATs & now GCSEs. She has sat down with me & shown me where I went wrong & how to improve it, instead of just taking over – like my dad does!

Thanks to Bev's one-to-one help my B grades were elevated to As. It took a lot of essay polishing. If I found the energy to rewrite, Bev always had the time to reread and guide my words.

I've seen her teach at all levels from barely literate teens to effortlessly eloquent adults and all have come away better for it. Perhaps it is her relaxed style or her knack of showing the simpler side of awkward principles. Whatever it is, I'm glad to be benefitting from it as much today, in a journalism career, as I did as her student.

When I kept getting Ds & Es for my coursework, my mum agreed to get me a tutor. I saw Beverley once a week for about a year & it made a huge difference to the marks I was getting. In the end I was really pleased with my C grade as it meant I could go on to do my A levels. Thanks Beverley!

I went back to studying, after a 20 year gap, aged 40 & obtained a nursing degree. This would not have been possible without the excellent tutoring I received from Beverley. She has been my source of encouragement & inspiration, enabling me to now be a skilled mentor, supporting student nurses through their studies.

I would highly recommend Beverley as a tutor. Without her support, I would not be where I am today.

The tuition my son received from Beverley was first class. The key was the way that she identified areas of weakness and helped him grasp concepts he'd previously struggled with.

Her friendly approach to teaching meant he in turn approached the subject in a far more positive way. It's fair to say he overcame his previous dislike of English.

His writing in particular improved noticeably.

I have no doubt the tuiton he received helped him gain a place at Grammar School where he is now flourishing and more than holding his own in English.

I've no hesitation in recommending Beverley as a tutor.
