Students are set an individual programme based on their own particular needs that will enable them to develop skills in all aspects of English. This will be designed to focus on the areas identified from an initial assessment at the start of the programme.
All courses will take place in your own home. An adult will be expected to be at home when tuition takes place.
When working towards GCSE English, students need to develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. In GCSE English Literature, students read and write about a diverse range of texts, including prose, poetry and drama. Tuition will help you to improve your coursework and prepare for the final examinations.
From 2010 it will not be possible to obtain a pass in a Diploma without passing the Level 2 qualification in Functional Skills: English. Tuition will help you to become confident in all aspects of everyday English.
Be prepared for tests in SATs & 11+ by improving your basic skills and learning how to answer examination questions effectively.
Tuition can help you to improve your basic literacy skills. If you struggle with spelling, punctuation and/or grammar, you will benefit from private tuition.
